Funding Options & Fee Schedule

Referrals

At Bright Therapy we accept referrals from parents and carers (can self-refer), GPs, paediatricians, allied health professionals, schools, hospitals, community health centres and external agencies.

NDIS

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is available in the Sunshine Coast Area. Please visit https://www.ndis.gov.au/ for further details.


We accept referrals from participants with NDIS plans who are self managed and plan managed (i.e. use a registered plan manager or plan nominee). Bright Therapy can provide OT services for children who have funding allocated under the support category – “Improved Daily Living”. 


Participants are charged as per the current NDIS price guidelines for Occupational Therapist supports in the Sunshine Coast area:


  • Individual Therapy Session (60min) $193.99 per hour
  • Travel costs if required (max. 30 mins at the hourly rate for the time spent travelling to each participant and max. 30 mins for the time spent on return travel from the last participant to usual place of work - total of 60 minutes travel can be applied)
  • Group Session - Maximum number of 4 participants - available during school holidays, price to be confirmed
  • Occupational Therapy Assessment (quote on request) $193.99 per hour
  • Report Writing (dependant on complexity) $193.99 per hour
  • Phone and/or Email Communications (billed at the hourly rate for the time spent on task)


Payment for these NDIS funded services will be claimed after the session or an invoice will be provided. **Please note Bright Therapy is not a NDIS-registered provider and cannot accept referrals for participants who are NDIA-managed.**

Medicare Chronic Disease Management Plan (Occupational Therapy - Item no: 10958)

  • Previously called Enhanced Primary Care Plan.
  • Clients with a chronic medical condition that has been or is likely to be present for at least 6 months may be eligible for a Medicare rebate of $58 for up to 5 sessions per calendar year. 
  • Eligibility is determined by the child’s GP.
  •  A written report is required after the first and last service, or more often if clinically necessary. Written reports should include any investigations, tests, and/or assessments carried out on the client, any treatment provided and future management of the client’s condition. 

Private Health Insurance

  • Occupational Therapy may be included in private health insurance with extras. 
  • Rebates vary depending on the individual insurer and the level of cover.

Occupational Therapy Services

Bright Therapy charges $193.99 per hour for all Occupational Therapist services in the Sunshine Coast area. This rate is consistent across all funding options. 

Cancellation Policy

24 hours notice is required.

- Please note, if your therapy appointment is scheduled for a Monday, notice will need to be given the previous Friday.
